Video Sessions by DvPixl Films!

Even more than yesterday’s images, I am super excited to show you a video of Rachel and Sam’s engagement session by DvPixl films! Being photographers, we’re lovers of still images of course, but we have an appreciation for great film work as well.

For our own wedding, the best decision we made was hiring him as our videographer hands down. Moses used to live in New York so it was harder to refer him, but not anymore because him and his wife recently moved to Seattle. He was also commissioned for Laina and Ray’s wedding and she described him and his work perfectly, “AHHH-MAZING! You were right that we won’t be disappointed by him. Such a quiet, sweet soul and so talented.” Since we love his work so much, I suggested that he add video sessions to his services, and below is an amazing film he came up with.

Sarah . Baby Shower

The most fabulous baby shower ever! Complete with letterpress invitations, professional-looking floral arrangements and homemade food and dessert, hand-picked books brought by guests for baby’s own library, macarons, and giant balloons as decor and party favors! The hostesses with the mostess are pictured in the last photo station pic with Sarah. Welcome to the world baby Micah!

Christina and David . Proposal

This past weekend was a momentous one for our family. Our not-so-little-anymore nephew David got engaged! I remember our first talks of girls and relationships when he was in middle school like it was yesterday, and now he’s all grown up and gonna get married soon! Christina is such a darling and there are so many things we have in common – one of which all three of us girls share a birthday in October, her and her future sister-in-law Gloria (pictured below) on the same exact day even! All throughout their relationship, they have been crossing the US/Canada border each time they see each other, so it was perfect that it happened on middle ground – a perfect way and analogy to start their future together.

Facebook. What a phenomenon. Of course there are critics who say that it’s the diminishment of human relationships as we know it. And although I can see where they’re going with that, I myself happen to enjoy the social media world. In moderation of course, because NOTHING can replace real face-to-face time. But how cool is it that we get to reconnect with long lost childhood friends? How enjoyable is it to keep up with all of our family and friends’ lives? How awesome is it that businesses have a marketing vehicle for free? I could go on about the complex web of these social sites, but we’ll get to the fun part now.
